The Google Events & Experience team tasked Creative Theory Agency with developing an activation at ADCOLOR 2022 to showcase the work Google has done to center inclusion within the workplace and their products, under a narrative umbrella of “Belonging.”

The overarching goals were to demonstrate the success of Google’s culture grounded in Belonging, continue to position them as an innovative leader in the tech space, and to share what they have learned to empower industry peers at ADCOLOR to replicate or iterate.
Conference attendees were meant to experience a sense of Belonging within the activation, and walk away with inspiration for their own companies.
We explored many paths to ensure everyone who came to the Google AdColor activation would feel both welcomed and truly embraced. It was important for us to design an experience that was not only eye-catching but also accessible and rich with meaning, all while highlighting the essence of the Google brand.
We achieved this through visual representations in photography, auditory experiences with headphones, and tactile elements like braille, along with the support of on-site staff. This approach ensured that everyone who visited the activation could feel seen, celebrated and included.
Incorporating Google's iconic brand, the event design greeted attendees with inspiring messages about Belonging on the walls, coupled with information about the innovative RealTone technology and its impact on hand held photography.
To amplify the sense of community central to Google's ethos, we arranged for real-time photo sessions using RealTone tech, allowing attendees to see and share their personalized photos right there at the event. Every detail, down to the photographers we chose, was carefully selected to resonate with the theme of Belonging, fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere throughout the activation.
